Cambridge Cornea and Cataract Symposium

Cambridge Cornea and Cataract Symposium

This national symposium at St John’s College, Cambridge is an annual event in April each year and organized under the chairmanship of Professor Rajan from Vision and Eye Research Unit (VERU) and Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge. It is attended by vision scientists and professionals from all across the UK and features European and International guest speakers.

The symposium focusses on treatment advances and provides clinical updates on corneal infections, novel corneal transplantation procedures and technological innovations in cataract surgery.

As well as providing insights into the latest trends in cornea and cataract surgery and research, this year’s symposium provided delegates with an invaluable opportunity to network. Speaking of the event, Professor Madhavan Rajan commented, “the symposium continues to provide an unique opportunity to discuss latest clinical trends in cornea and cataract surgery with an aim to improve clinical standards and dissipate latest research knowledge, both at a regional and national level. We are very grateful to the excellent feedback provided by the participants, speakers and our sponsors.
